Iwas born in Poland. From the earliest age I can remember I was drawn to horses. As a little girl, inspired by the photography of Zofia Raczkowska, I dreamt of being just like her. But it was’t until 2009, 7 years after arriving in the USA, when I had an opportunity to live my childhood dream. Training in dressage taught me a lot about the movements. It allowed me to use that knowledge in documenting the discipline. Dressage is my passion, but portrait sessions have a special place in my heart, for their genuine and very personal character.
What I like in photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce.
~Karl Langerfeld
I love being able to give others those forever moments. It is a privilege that I treat very seriously. It is very personal to me. I lost my mother at a very young age, and the only memories I have of her are the photographs. Memories are so important to us; when they fade, the photographs help remind us of people we loved and places we keep deep in our hearts…

Joanna is truly an amazing and talented photographer. I'm in love with all the photos she took. she has the experience it takes to capture action shots of our stallions in motion. she is knowledgeable of their movements and conformation. I also liked that you can differentiate her style of photography from others. I can't wait for our second session next month.

I have worked with Joanna at competitions and she came to my farm to do a personal photo shoot. Joanna is fantastic to work with, very professional and her photo's are stunning. Joanna is artistic and knows how to capture those perfect moments in and out the competition arena. I look forward to working with her in the future!

I first saw Joanna's work when she made a friend's reining look like poetry. Since, I have worked with her to shoot holiday portraits of horse and riders at my barn as well as my dear friends " trash the dress" session with her darling husband and my stallion Kefir. Joanna is savvy, sweet and poetic at her craft, brava!

Joanna Jodko is a true artist who can see the beauty and make the shot happen. She makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera with her easy patient attitude, but is a true perfectionist with her final results! I love working with Joanna and am always excited and pleased with her work.
Heather Bender, dressage trainer
Joanna, your photography is beautiful. I see so many things in each and everyone of your shots. I can see you have a great love in what you do. I am a beginner in photography and I was raised on a horse farm. So of course I have a special love of your horse pictures.....seeing all your pictures just makes me want to be the best I can.

That’s actually a low estimate, since I take thousands of photos per event or session, but it’s often necessary to take many images in order to capture the perfect one.
Because photography is so personal to me and I know how important your memories are to you, I review and edit each image to enhance the natural beauty I see.
Coffee can certainly be a photographer’s best friend when we have to get up early to capture the morning light and stay up late editing images.
Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to me. It is my wish to present each client with a work of art that they and their loved ones can cherish for a lifetime.
